Created attachment 1221592 [details] Side-by-side comparison of /proc/vmstat and pcp mem.vmstat metrics There are /proc/vmstat metrics that should be added to the mem.vmstat metrics. In the pcp/src/pmdas/linux the following commands were done to get a side-by-side list of the differences. $ cat /proc/vmstat |awk -F " " '{print $1}' | sort > proc_vmstat_metrics $ grep \.field proc_vmstat.c|grep " = \"" | awk -F \" '{print $2}' |sort > pcp_vmstat_metrics $ diff -dy proc_vmstat_metrics pcp_vmstat_metrics > vmstat_metric_diff The attached vmstat_metric_diff has the /proc/vmstat entries on the left. Lines with "<" indicate things missing from the the pcp metrics. Some of these such as numa_pages_migrated would be helpful in diagnosing some types of system issues.
