Similar to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1393776 but with a different field.

Comment 8 Greg McCullough 2016-11-22 21:02:30 UTC
Leo - Those fields are identified by the database id value, so if the instance was removed there would be no way for the UI to display that information.

If that addresses your issue can we close this ticket?

Comment 9 Leo Khomenko 2016-11-23 10:49:32 UTC
yes. makes sense, but that also makes storing Requests useless for backlog. that means - public ip field will always be empty after Request is completed as public IP's name will receive additional suffix.
In current build(5.7.0.11) Public IP stays just because it wasn't reused and we have created a new pub ip - this is misleading.

Greg, should this become an RFE? I mean, shouldn't we save provisioning data for history? or maybe this could lead to some conflicts?
it could be useful to know which resources were used for provisioning VM even if they were renamed/removed

Comment 10 Greg McCullough 2016-11-29 23:40:10 UTC
Agreed, I marked this as an RFE and will close the cloned BZ since that would not be created until we decide where it will be resolved. We can always reopen if needed.
