Description Vikram Goyal 2016-11-18 05:32:35 UTC
As per email conversations, the following updates need doing for the JDV Image docs: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en/red-hat-xpaas/0/single/red-hat-xpaas-jdv-for-openshift-image/

From Kevin:
JDV QE completed testing of their Eclipse tooling against our JDV image and are satisfied the majority of features work without issue, they have documented their findings here

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DYcdoBGKrpsRCRE4FOJ_dGPK90Auxf865BCM9NA9gVQ/edit

Jirka created a quick guide for Matus to use

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eY7K7xm4yEeKYzrHg80d7nTaoGRxcMHQjwlz3Hg654o/edit#heading=h.r13iy18yu10q

We need to get something in to the docs to explain how a customer would use the Eclipse tooling with an existing JDV deployment on OpenShift, could we please add something in to schedule, post Wednesday's release, to cover this?

If you have any questions then please let me know and I'll try to put you in contact with the relevant parties.

From Radek:

Hi all,
after discussion with Jiri and Josef, I will create a picture with description of JDV deployment that uses an injected image (containing config files, modules, data etc.) as this is much more complex solution, thus it should be documented.

From Josef:

I created some basic quickstarts that could be useful to you. Github: https://github.com/josefkarasek/jdv-demos
For now these two apps are finished:
datafederation - tutorial how to deploy datafederation quickstart + client application to query jdv
internal_postgresql - one db inside openshift + client app

This is really three bugs. This bug will now track the first issue: using the Eclipse tooling with an existing JDV deployment on OpenShift.

Issue 2 tracked in BZ#1397234 - [JDV] Include more comprehensive description (+possible diagram) of injected image deployment
Issue 3 tracked in BZ#1397235 - [JDV] Add example workflow that uses quickstart deployment

Hello, where can I find docs for using the Eclipse tooling with an existing JDV deployment on OpenShift?
