with 5.8.x the clock has a way smaller font but wastes the same space as before, see screenshot

for many years the whole font-selection is *completly* useless without the ability also select the font-size

in the past many fonts where completly unsuable becaus eof the vertical-alignment which leads in jumping arund all the time when current seconds are displayed too

can somebody *please* fix such a trivial widget and make it human useable?
