Plenty of places online recommend using http://people.centos.org/hughesjr/chromium/6/ . Unfortunately, that repository still has chromium version 38.0.2125.111, and nothing newer :(

Red Hat actually produces chromium packages for EL6. The package name is "chromium-browser" and it is in the RHEL Workstation Supplementary channel.
