The nightly does not have this problem. The mouse-over event sets a blue background for the selected menu item. See attached screenshot.

See attached screenshot. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): firefox-50.0-1.fc25.x86_64 cinnamon-3.0.7-3.fc25.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Firefox 2. Open a menu and let the mouse over an menu item. The text color is changed to white. Actual results: White text color on grey background Expected results: Any other color combination that is better to read.
