Reassigning to anaconda. I did not notice any issues updating from f24 to f25. Probably there will be some logs under /tmp that should point to the reason of the failure. I am also facing the same issue. But on Fedora 26 and Fedora 25. The details are as follows: I have a laptop with an HDD that is normally connected to the laptop and another 1TB HDD that is connected by replacing the optical disk drive. Now I tried installing F26 on my machine but anaconda crashed. I also tried installing F25 and anaconda failed again. I was able to install F25 before the 1TB HDD was added on the same machine. Also, the new 1 TB HDD has a GPT, three partitions with ext4 as the file-system. This GPT was created using parted. Is this a known issue; I have gone through the first few bugs in Bugzilla, but am not sure, if the issues might be similar to the issue that I am facing. One thing is sure, Anaconda when started from the command line exits with a core dump. I will update both the core dump and error log files later. I am also facing the same issue. This seems to be a similar experience here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1170803#c13 Reporting the same error through the automatic bug reporting system lead to this https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1482199 Created attachment 1314265 [details] log file for anaconda Full report is here https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1469407 Duplicate of https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1469407 The issue I was facing is not related to Paulo's bug. I have come to the conclusion that it was firmly related to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1469407. Also, Paulo's bug seems to have been resolved in F26. This issue can now be closed. Guys, I was able to install Fedora 25 and this was how: I figured out that it could maybe be the HUGE SIZE of my disk. And it was. I had 1TB full of data, then everything I had to do was to wait let's say 20 minutes to the button "NEXT" to process. Obviously I think there must be a LOADING to let users know it's somehow "processing" something and user should wait. Hope that help. Going to close the issue. |
