[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/var/tmp/thn-2bldsm' 0.98 (currently in rawhide) is based on gtk2, and in turn, uses vte-0.28.2 for terminal emulation. This version of vte is 5 years old and is no longer maintained. 1.90 (the brand new release) is the first tarball based on gtk3, which, in turn, can use the most recent vte (fedora package name is "vte291"; 0.46.1 is the latest stable right now), and this vte is actively being maintained. vte's git log since the 0.28 series points to 200+ bugzilla entries that have been addressed. They include security/privacy fixes (e.g. scrollback data used to be stored in temporary files on hard disk), data corruption fixes, huge performance improvements, cool new features (rewrap on resize, true colors, italic text etc.), tons of emulation fixes, and many more fixes and improvements. As such, upgrading to 1.90 in Fedora is a change that probably pretty much every Terminator user will truly welcome. The code that's just been released as 1.90 has (apart from a few small patches) been in its bazaar repo for almost a year now (and the few patches that were applied recently were also available in its bugtracker). I've pointed quite some people to this branch (and the patches) on various stackoverflow sites, and probably so did others. So this branch has already received a notable amount of testing. That being said, it's obviously a big code change from gtk2 and its corresponding vte to gtk3 and a much newer vte with a different API. As such, it is possible that a few minor bugs sneaked in. In the unlikely case that you find some regression, please don't let it hold you back from upgrading. The advantages from switching to a new vte certianly outweigh it by magnitudes, and that regression (if any) will hopefully receive a fix soon after getting discovered. Thanks!
