Description Aharon Canan 2016-11-27 15:46:15 UTC
Description of problem:
We have few issues here:
1. Trying to "manage" unattached export domain path return "Operation cancelled" on GUI
2. Although the operation failed (see 1), the new path appears when trying to manage the export domain again.
3. on audit logs - "The error message for connection 10.35.110.11:/Automation_NFS/RHV_service_export returned by VDSM was: Permission settings on the specified path do not allow access to the storage. Verify permission settings on the specified storage path"

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. try to set new path to unattached export domain ("manage domain")
2.
3.

Actual results:
above

Expected results:
if operation is not permitted, path field should to be greyed out.
If operation permitted, operation should completed successfully.
VDSM should not get the operation from engine in case it should be blocked.

Comment 1 Daniel Erez 2016-12-28 05:14:13 UTC
Editing nfs path is applicable when the domain is in status Maintenance or Unattched. The permissions issue described is due to invalid settings of the storage domain, i.e. when configured correctly it should succeed. The audit log is displayed to indicate that the storage configuration should be checked before activating the domain. Regarding the "Operation cancelled" in webadmin, I couldn't reproduce on local env, please re-open if reproduced on latest build.
