Verified that on RHEL-7.4-20170504.0 that alsa-utils is at version 1.1.3-2.el7 and I've done some functionality testing on a wide range of hardware. Without knowing everything that's been introduced in the new version I can only perform SanityOnly testing. Marking as verified. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
