Description of problem:
After boot to multiuser level 5 and login to non-privileged user
account, the top Gnome Panel was unresponsive.  I switched to a
console terminal, logged in, and found the Oops in /var/log/messages.

kernel-2.6.9-1.648_EL

How reproducible:
Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Boot to multiuser level 5.
2.Login as non-privileged user.
3.Try to start Terminal from icon on Gnome panel at top of screen.
    

Actual Results:  Terminal not started.  Mouse+pointer tracking worked.

Expected Results:  Terminal started.

Additional info:

Oops from /var/log/messages will be attached.

Rebooting failed to achieve runlevel 5.

Again, did this reproduce on the later beta kernels?

It does not happen with 2.6.9-1.675_EL [Thu Nov 11] which is the last RHEL4beta
kernel I have.
