Description Manas 2016-12-01 07:12:20 UTC
Description of problem: Wireless doesn't work in newer versions of the Linux kernel (Fedora 25, 4.8.10-300 and 4.8.8-300).
It works in 4.8.10-200, which was installed in Fedora 24 and is still listed in the grub menu.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.8.10-300, 4.8.8-300

How reproducible: No wireless settings menu. 'modprobe wl' returns "no entry wl found", even though it is present in "extras".

This problem is repeating after every 2-3 kernel updates (in Fedora 25 and 24), right from kernel version 4.4.

akmods, akmod-wl, kmod-wl are installed.
System: Lenovo Z50-70.

Fedora does not provide or support third party proprietary drivers. You will need to report this issue to whomever you got the wl driver from.
