Description Ian Wienand 2016-12-07 02:38:49 UTC
Hi,

objectweb-pom is a build dependency of zookeeper [1] which we are trying to bring up on EPEL7. I did a COPR build [2] and it seemed to "just work"

Do you think we could get an EPEL7 branch and build?

BTW, this came into the spec with [1]. Maybe it is possible to build without it? It's not really clear why it was added; that may invalidate this request...

I don't want to maintain this package in EPEL. If you want to become maintainer you can request branches in PkgDB and I'll approve them.
However, objectweb-pom should not be needed to build zookeeper for EPEL 7.

Comment 3 Mikolaj Izdebski 2017-09-14 10:22:58 UTC
There doesn't seem to be anyone interested in maintaining this package in EPEL, so I'll close this bug. Anyone is free to request branches and maintain it themselves.
