Just installed a batch update and I can only presume that the update of package xorg-x11-drv-libinput to version 0.22.0-3.fc25 fixed the issue -- resuming no longer causes the primary button to switch. However, I'm still able to reproduce the issue by unplugging and plugging in the dongle. The issue as described in the title is fixed, but I'll leave it for someone to review in case it's of any salience.. This message is a reminder that Fedora 25 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 25. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '25'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Created attachment 1229019 [details] When I unplug then plug in the USB dongle for the wireless mouse, these messages are output Description of problem: Ever since upgrading from Fedora 24, my wireless mouse (non-Bluetooth w/ USB receiver dongle) would switch from having the right button as the primary to the left button every time I resume from suspend. To workaround, I've had to go back into Gnome settings where the primary button setting is actually still set to the right button, toggle it to left, then back to right. The issue does not occur on startup/shutdown or login/logout, but does occur every time I plug in/out the dongle as well. Furthermore, the issue does not occur with a regular wired USB mouse I have. The issue does not occur in Wayland. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):`gnome-shell --version`=GNOME Shell 3.22.2 How reproducible: Every time. Steps to Reproduce: 1. With usb dongle for wireless mouse plugged in and functioning, switch primary button to right in GNOME settings 2. Suspend and Resume machine Actual results: Primary button is set to left mouse button Expected results: Primary button should stay set to right mouse button. Additional info: Available settings under "Mouse & Touchpad" are limited to "General" with wireless mouse, while with wired mouse, the additional "Mouse" section is available for controlling mouse sensitivity etc. Attached log records for when I unplug then plug in the USB dongle for the wireless mouse
