SmartState Analysis works fine on RHEL 7.3 with XFS file system on VMware Vsphere 5.5. Verified in version 5.6.4.0.20170201130751_9521533 Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
