Description Paweł 2016-12-12 17:13:55 UTC
Description of problem:
When browsing for iso file on local disk, I can't see iso files.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Latest in F25 repo as of today.

How reproducible:
Always.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Fedora Media Writer
2. Select Another Image
3. Open your directory, containing iso files

Actual results:
No files being shown.

Expected results:
Files visible.

Additional info:
Changing file type to "All files" shows iso's but that's not by default, and not everyone will know this. No hints are given to user, that he needs to do this step, so he's confused.

Hello, which desktop environment (GNOME, etc.) are you using, please? Do you get the native file dialog or something different?
FMW definitely does give the hints but they probably get lost along the way when creating the dialog.

Comment 2 Martin Bříza 2016-12-12 17:15:58 UTC
If you're in GNOME, please also tell me if you have the qgnomeplatform package installed.

Hi, I wanted to make it in one comment, but attachment made a single comment, so sorry about that. I'm using default Fedora 25, so it's GNOME. I get the native file dialog, see attachment. It looks, like I have this package installed.

[pawiecki@e320pw ~]$ rpm -qa | grep qgnomeplatform
qgnomeplatform-0.2-10.20161024git.fc25.x86_64

Comment 5 Paweł 2017-08-30 13:06:21 UTC
Now I can see iso files srtaight away, with no problem, so I guess it's fixed, and we can close the bug report? :)

Comment 6 Martin Bříza 2017-09-06 13:43:00 UTC
I guess so. Thanks for checking up on this. :)
