Description of problem:
Gnumeric does not allow pasting of text from external programs after text has been copied from a cell in a gnumeric spreadsheet.

How reproducible:


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open gnumeric and gnome-terminal, type text into gnumeric and gnome-terminal to use for testing copying.
2. Select text in gnome-terminal, right click and select copy.
3. Right click on an empty cell in gnumeric, click paste.
4. Select a gnumeric cell with the text for testing, right click and select copy.
5. Right click on an empty cell in gnumeric and click paste.
6. Repeat steps 2 and 3.

Actual results:
Text pasted from terminal.  Text pasted from gnumeric cell.  Text pasted from gnumeric cell.

Expected results:
Text pasted from terminal.  Text pasted from gnumeric cell.  Text pasted from terminal.

I cannot reproduce this, I tried with gedit and gnome-terminal. Just to exclude the obvious, the copy shortcut for gnome-terminal is ctrl-shift-C, not the usual ctrl-C.

Hi Julian.  I tested copy/paste with gedit/gnumeric and gnome-terminal/gnumeric, both combinations have the same problem.  Copy and paste between gedit/gnome-terminal works as expected though.

This message is a reminder that Fedora 25 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 25. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time

of '25'.

plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version.

of Fedora, you are encouraged  change the 'version' to a later Fedora

lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Fedora 25 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2017-12-12. Fedora 25 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
