Description of problem:
At the end of doc/managed-db-upgrade.txt, there are the following instructions:

"""
Follow the instructions in satellite-upgrade-postgresql.txt or
satellite-and-os-upgrade-postgresql.txt as appropriate to upgrade the server
portion of your Satellite, skipping any instructions related to schema
upgrades or imports / exports.
"""

I do not think it is correct to instruct the user not to update the db schema. It must be done even for managedb.
