Description of problem:
In browsing the F25 extras backgrounds, there are 2 images which eom cannot display: /usr/share/backgrounds/f25/extras/milky-way-over-mangart-mountain.jpg and /usr/share/backgrounds/f25/extras/the-bois-de-vincennes-france.png

eom-1.16.0-1.fc25.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open the /usr/share/backgrounds/f25/extras folder with caja file manager and try to view the above 2 images using Eye of Mate Image Viewer

Actual results:
The image is not displayed - only a blank screen.

Expected results:
The image is displayed

Additional info:
The above 2 images may be viewed OK in Firefox, and the desktop background can be set to the above images OK.  The images are 4000x2282 and 3888x2592 pixels.  eom displays /usr/share/backgrounds/f25/extras/manhattan.png OK, and it is 4898x2755.

See my screenshot, i can open both images without any problem with eom-1.16.0-1.fc25.x86_64.

Apparently this is another nouveau / Xorg problem.  From my journal:

I also have another bug in regarding nouveau / Xorg: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1398936  -- with mediawriter, in both F24 and F25.

All the other backgrounds display fine for me with eom.

The images display fine with eom in F24.  In F25, if video acceleration is turned off, then the images display fine with eom.

With an up-to-date F25, even with video acceleration turned on, the 2 problematic images now display fine for me with eom.  The error messages (comment 3) in the journal have also gone away.
