Created redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/18911 from this bug These fields are always required for provisioning even if selecting the host group prepopulates the values. If a host group without those attributes is assigned, these fields must be filled anyway. Is there something I'm missing? If not, I suggest we close this as NOTABUG. The issue was that it wouldn't prepopulate the values when selecting a host group, afair. The UI indicates that the values are required but when host group was selected, the values would not get prepopulated and would still indicate that they are required which seemed misleading. This behavior may have changed / been fixed since I first reported the issue. Thanks for clarification, after selecting a hostgroup, all fields are populated accordingly. If that used to be a problem on some specific version, it works correctly today so I'm closing it. Please reopen if you encounter behavior described in comment 4. |
