Description Bobby Tharrington 2004-11-24 16:05:48 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041020
Firefox/0.10.1

Description of problem:
By setting the wireless key in system-config-network if one does not
add 0x to the beginning, then a string is assumed. It should default
to 0x and have the user enter s: for a string (or something else). It
would appear that other wireless tools on windows default to this
approach. It is less error prone.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
system-config-network-1.3.22-1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Run system-network-config
2.Set wireless key with no 0x
3.String is assumed

Fedora Core 3 is now maintained by the Fedora Legacy project for security
updates only. If this problem is a security issue, please reopen and
reassign to the Fedora Legacy product. If it is not a security issue and
hasn't been resolved in the current FC5 updates or in the FC6 test
release, reopen and change the version to match.

Thank you!
