Description Robert Scheck 2016-12-31 19:22:26 UTC
Description of problem:
Please update EPEL branches to BIRD 1.6.3, because otherwise new features
such as the new protocol babel or BGP multipath are not available especially
on Linux servers and routers (in production mode) where BIRD is being used.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
bird-1.4.5-2.el7
bird-1.4.5-2.el6

Actual results:
bird-1.4.5-2.el7

Expected results:
bird-1.6.3-1.el7 or better ;-)

Hello Robert,

I'm looking at our EPEL guidelines:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL/GuidelinesAndPolicies

I think we'd need to know first how compatible bird-1.4.5 and 1.6.3 are. Do you know if all the config options from bird-1.4.5 remain supported in bird-1.6.3? Thanks!

Comment 3 Stanislav Kozina 2017-02-27 21:15:30 UTC
Per previous comment closing.
If you believe that bird-1.4.5 config options are forward compatible with bird-1.6.3, please re-open. Thanks!
