It has come to my attention that my last rebase of acpica-tools for RHEL7.3 had an adverse affect on qemu-kvm. In light of that and after some discussion, it has been decided that a rebase for RHEL7.4 will not be done. So I'm closing this BZ WONTFIX (as in, WONTDO a rebase). Going forward the plan for acpica-tools is to only do rebases for major releases. Minor releases will be limited to only making changes based on customer reported problems, or customer requested features. With the focus on trying to just backport the upstream commits that address the problem or feature. Trying our best to avoid anything approaching a rebase, if at all possible. Features include new ACPI spec changes. |
