Description Peter Lemenkov 2017-01-10 17:24:41 UTC
Hello.
I'd like to propose upgrading Gajim requirements to Python 3, GTK3, gstreamer1.

I'm using it for a several days and it works *almost* flawlessly. I've found the only critical issue (which required ugly workaround) - this one:

* https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/issues/8387

Apart from this issue, this facelift requires only replacing libs with python3-prefixed ones in spec-file.

The latest upstream release is still Gajim 0.16.6. The 'gajim_0.16' branch is not ready for Python 3, GTK 3. The porting work has been going on in the 'master' branch. As soon as upstream produce a new major release with this work (or maybe at least when they branch from master), I'll take it into Rawhide and the package should use Python 3, GTK3, gstreamer1 then.
