Description Eduardo Lima (Etrunko) 2017-01-17 14:38:08 UTC
Description of problem:

remote-viewer currently presents a list of ISO images as a toplevel menu when connecting to a remote oVirt instance. The choice of this UI component is inadequate for the task, as already discussed in bug #1347726, because it relies on a timer for refreshing the ISO list and results can be inconsistent at times.

The menu item should be replaced by a dedicate dialog for selecting the ISO image and refreshing the list at the will of users.

Additional info:

Current patch series implementing the ISO dialog is up for review https://www.redhat.com/archives/virt-tools-list/2017-January/msg00023.html.

Comment 3 Xiaodai Wang 2017-03-22 03:28:40 UTC
I verified it with virt-viewer-5.0-2.el7.x86_64, The Change CD foreign menu is now a submenu in File.
After clicking the "Change CD" menu, the "Change Cd" dialog will appear. The CDs are listed in the dialog.
Users can refresh the iso list but the 'Refresh' button.

So move the bug from ON_QA to VERIFIED.
