Description of problem:
Running command "mkpasswd -v" fails with the message:

can't read "user": no such variable
    while executing
"puts -nonewline "password for $user is ""
    invoked from within
"if {$verbose} {
        puts -nonewline "password for $user is "
}"
    (file "/usr/bin/mkpasswd" line 212)

Expected Results:  Command shold report generated password

Thanks for reporting this.  As a first step I'm
building expect--5.42.1-2 in Fedora Core devel (rawhide)
for FC4.

This will get fixed in RHEL 5.
