(In reply to Slava from comment #0) > Description of problem: > Fence agent for ilo2 all the time failing impossible configure > > Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): > > ovirt 4.1 > > > How reproducible: > 100% > > Steps to Reproduce: > 1. Up to date available host on obirt web ui > 2. Go to host edit ---> power management ---> enable fencing agent and click > test. > 3. It will give error in header of the page. > > Actual results: > > Engine log contain this error > > 2017-02-02 05:13:08,152Z ERROR > [org.ovirt.engine.core.bll.pm.FenceProxyLocator] (default task-46) > [4d1a7e0f-2e1d-4513-a960-5f035f6351f8] Can not run fence action on host > 'hosted_engine_1', no suitable proxy host was found. Are you sure that you have at least 2 hosts in your cluster / data center? If not or if no other host is reachable (my guess from the error above), then Test action will never bug successful. But you can add fence agent even without clicking Test for the 1st host, just save the value without testing and you can test you setting after 2nd host is successfully added to the cluster/DC. > > > Expected results: > > Test completes without error fencing is enabled for the hosts. > > > Additional info: > > > If I test agent from shell on the host it completes call to ilo without > error. Have you execute the fence_ilo2 from the same host which is this fence device part of? If so that's very strange, because usually fence device of the host is not accessible from the same host and you need a different host to access fence device. That's why we required at least 2 hosts in the same cluster/DC to successfully execute power management action. > > > [root@ovirt00 ~]# fence_ilo2 -a 172.16.252.16 -l -p --ssl-insecure > --tls1.0 -v -o status If you are sure that you have 2nd reachable host in your cluster/DC and still test action fails, please provide complete logs from engine host and from the 2nd host which was acting as fence procy.
