Description Randy Barlow 2017-02-16 01:02:24 UTC
Description of problem:

On 2016-06-02, a commit was made that brought dogpile.core into dogpile.cache:

https://bitbucket.org/zzzeek/dogpile.cache/commits/761dc0a9e4c08f9af4b732ced3604e72d74f09af?at=master

dogpile.cache-0.6.0 was released a few commits after that commit. Further, dogpile.core was marked EOL upstream:

https://bitbucket.org/zzzeek/dogpile.core/commits/661aac8411f9f2ee5c5baebefee960fdbeda5c21

Thus, all versions of python-dogpile-cache >= 0.6.0 in Fedora should stop Requiring python-dogpile-core.

The presence of python-dogpile-core can cause import issues, as reported here:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1422696

Comment 1 Dennis Gilmore 2017-02-16 01:26:33 UTC
python-dogpile-cache should obsolete and provide python-dogpile-core and python-dogpile-core should be retired
