Description Remi Collet 2017-02-16 07:49:44 UTC
Unwanted dependencies between C++ library package and main package make parallel installation of various versions

ErrorĀ : package ImageMagick-c++-6.9.3.0-3.fc25.x86_64 requires ImageMagick = 6.9.3.0-3.fc25, but none of the providers can be installed

Only the -libs sub package should be require

More: all the dependencies should be arch specific.

Created attachment 1250793 [details]
0001-fix-inter-package-dependencies-1422773.patch

Patch again F25 branch (same needed in F24 and rawhide)

Comment 2 Remi Collet 2017-02-16 08:14:05 UTC
Additional information: reported from "remi" repository users which try to use latest "ImageMagick7" packages (inskape requires the c++ library)

See https://blog.remirepo.net/post/2016/12/12/ImageMagick6-and-ImageMagick7

ImageMagick-libs, ImageMagick6-libs and ImageMagick7-libs can be installed simultaneously. c++ and djvu should allow this.

Can you please have a look to attached patch ?

If you prefer, I can take care of applying it (using provenpackager right)
