This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 26 development cycle. Changing version to '26'. Problems against new openssl. Fix the FTBFS using the upstream comment
Upstream responded with some fix instructions.
Attached a patch implementing them. The package builds for me with this fix.
