Spoke to Loic on this (way back for that PR) and we changed the behavior. Setting to POST. Verified in 5.9.0.4.20171024163837_ef71ea6 Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
