Description Yash Mankad 2017-02-22 21:51:37 UTC
Description of problem:

Requesting an update for the qemupciserial.* files, which come from the signed_win_drivers repo used for virtio-win packaging. These files haven't been updated since initial import over two years ago.

This bug has been created to track the inclusion / update of the driver properly, for several reasons:

1. To make sure the work is tracked and validated
2. To give layered products (RHV) notice that this is coming
3. To make sure upstream is also being updated (before RHEL)

Comment 2 Ladi Prosek 2017-05-10 07:44:23 UTC
As of virtio-win upstream commit 539da1a, we are building two versions of qemupciserial.inf/.cat. One for Fedora, dropped to the root of the pre-WHQL .zip, one for RHEL, dropped to a new 'rhel' directory. QE has been instructed to use the 'rhel' one for testing and WHQL submission.

This is just an FYI that the signed driver, when available, will be similar to what we shipped in RHEL 7.3, despite the original plan to sign&ship what we've been including in Fedora packages. More details on the change in bug 1443019.

Hi,

After installing the virtio-win rpm package, qemupciserial drivers are in it.
version: virtio-win-1.9.1-0.el7.noarch.rpm

change status to verified.

Thanks
Yu Wang
