pass 1.7 announcement is here:

Which says that we should drop the dep on pwgen and add a dep on qrencode. The changes in the repo [1] did not make the dependency changes to the rpm. Should we actually make the changes like upstream requested?

Thanks for the report, someone already reported these issues privately, and is working on it, so this should get fixed soon.

After the fixes get in, is there a plan to release the new "pass" in Fedora 25?

That was definitely the plan, I preferred to get it first in rawhide for some testing. And this was a good move as you pointed out these deps issues, which can now be fixed before getting the package in f25 :)
