Description of problem:
If i log in as ROOT I can run SCREEN just fine. Same if I log in as a
user. But ....

If I log in s root and then switch to a user and try to run screen -
it fails.

"Cannot open your terminal '/dev/tty2' - please check.

Also - in the future - please get changes like UDEV right before
forcing it into the kernel and making us suffer.

1. Loggin as root
2. su to user
3. run screen

check your permissions on /dev/tty2 and don't make such lame comments
and bugs before you waste my time and make me suffer
