Description fednuc 2017-03-21 15:25:39 UTC
qpaeq is a Qt application, but lacks a desktop file in /usr/share/applications

I'm using the following qpaeq.desktop at the moment (needs a proper icon, internationalisation etc. of course):

#!/usr/bin/env xdg-open
[Desktop Entry]
Name=qpaeq
GenericName=Audio equaliser
Exec=qpaeq
Terminal=false
Type=Application
Icon=audio-volume-high

I just came here to report a similar bugreport.

BUT!

1) There seems to be missing a pulseaudio-qpaeq entry in bugzilla.
2) The program doesn't execute anymore under Fedora 28

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1568278

Please see the matching report above.

Rex can you do something about it ? E.g. at least providing a missing entry in bugzilla, so the reports can be sent comulated to one place ?

Comment 2 Rex Dieter 2018-05-06 12:16:25 UTC
pulseaudio-qpaeq is part of "pulseaudio" package, bugzilla does not have separate components for every subpackage.

Comment 3 fednuc 2018-05-13 11:10:32 UTC
qpaeq still works fine for me on F28.

What's preventing a fix on this? It's a 5-minute job.

Comment 4 Rex Dieter 2018-05-13 14:12:22 UTC
I personally have a strong preference this get fixed upstream, and not have the increased maintainence burden of supporting it downstream in fedora (only) indefinitely.

Comment 5 fednuc 2018-05-13 17:22:05 UTC
Seems entirely sensible. Would have been useful to know that a year ago... ;)

This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
