I'm seeing a crash very similar to this. My crash trace is:

https://retrace.fedoraproject.org/faf/reports/1720715/

In gnome-initial-setup-3.24.2-1.fc26 and fc27. Note with a wayland session, when gnome-shell crashes the whole session dies and you have to log back in, and face the crash again. At least with Xorg, gnome-shell just restarts and moves on to the online accounts view.

I too got this crash at Privacy page only. The only easy workaround I found is to boot into Gnome Xorg session complete the gnome-initial-setup and then logout and login into the Wayland session.

I found that this can be duplicate of bug 1443206

Same. I can confirm the fix listed in bug 1443206 (install libgweather-3.24.0-2.fc26) resolves this issue.
