Description of problem:
Abiword's document layout flickers, in addition writing in it is very slow. 

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.0.2-3.fc25

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just open abiword
2. Try to write a new document


Actual results:
The document layout flickers and it is very slow. 

Expected results:
Abiword should display the document normally and not slow down the speed of writing. 

Additional info:
I was using abiword in Fedora 25 LXDE.
