Description Bhushan Barve 2017-05-22 13:09:36 UTC
Description of problem: When firefox is opened on any non-English system like ja_JP or de_DE or others, the splash page loads in English only. When the browser preferred language is changed to ja_JP for instance, then only the splash page loads up in Japanese. It should load according to the language.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
firefox-52.0-6.el7.x86_64
RHEL 7.4 beta 1.0

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch RHEL 7.4 beta in any non-english locale.
2. Launch firefox
3. Observe the splash page.

Actual results:
The splash page loads in English

Expected results:
The splash page should load according to the system locale.

Jan, can you check it please?

Comment 4 Jan Horak 2017-05-23 16:04:52 UTC
Is this a regression or also observed on RHEL 7.3?

(In reply to Jan Horak from comment #4)
> Is this a regression or also observed on RHEL 7.3?

Not observed on RHEL 7.3.

Workaround is to set the browser preferred language same as current locale.
You can set it from edit->preferences->content->languages->choose and restart the browser.

Comment 6 Jan Horak 2017-05-24 12:39:32 UTC
Allright, should be fixed in firefox-52.1.2-1.el7.
