Description Bill Sanford 2017-06-06 14:45:51 UTC
Description of problem:
In RHEL 7, the default Emacs editor is now the GUI Emacs. Caribou will not appear in the window but you can type in the editor with the keyboard.

If I start Emacs with the -nw --no-window-system option, Caribou will appear as the onscreen keyboard.

I confirm this bug is not reproducible in Fedora. Need to check where exactly is the issue and how it got fixed in Fedora.

Comment 4 Jens Petersen 2020-02-12 04:11:23 UTC
Is this still a problem in 7.7?

I didn't understand the use-case.
