Description gabriel 2017-06-08 17:14:44 UTC
Description of problem:

This was working a couple weeks ago and I didn't make any changes on my environment.

I'm not able to sync my 2 spacewalk servers. They are running on spacewalk 2.5 on a Red Hat 6 server.

root@ymr-spacewalk01:~ $ satellite-sync -l
12:57:29 Spacewalk - live synchronization
12:57:29 url: https://satellite.rhn.redhat.com
12:57:29 debug/output level: 1
12:57:29
12:57:29
ERROR: there was a problem synchronizing the information.
Error message: ERROR: this server must be registered with RHN.

My OS system is updated and registered with Red Hat.

I don't understand why spacewalk is trying to search for a Satellite license.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
 Red Hat 6
 Spacewalk 2.5

How reproducible:
Register the OS with red hat
Configure the sync between 2 spacewalk servers
run satellite-sync -l

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:

This seems as problem with ISS configuration, is this satellite sync command executed on master or slave Spacewalk? Or you want to sync between both Spacewalk servers? You should check Admin -> ISS Configuration if these Spacewalk knows about each other and default Master is set.
