spice-gtk-0.33-5.fc25 has been submitted as an update to Fedora 25. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2017-3c5f25e807 spice-gtk-0.33-5.fc25 has been pushed to the Fedora 25 testing repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for instructions on how to install test updates. You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2017-3c5f25e807 I have spotted this issue under Fedora 26 but not under Fedora 25. (?) I'll do builds for f26/rawhide as well (In reply to Cole Robinson from comment #4) Build spice-gtk-0.33-5.fc26 does fix the original issue on Fedora 26. However, both with VirGL-enabled Fedora 25 and Fedora 26 virtual guests launched via 'virsh start ..', no working mouse pointer is available in gnome-boxes: either it is absent or when it is present or suddenly appears (then two mouse pointers are displayed), respectively, it stays at a fixed position or merely shows a loose correlation with the host's mouse pointer. Known issue with wayland and server mouse. If you have spice-vdagent installed in your guest, everything should work fine (?) (In reply to Christophe Fergeau from comment #6) Both virtual guests were installed using the corresponding Fedora 25 and 26 Workstation live media and do (of course) include spice-vdagent by default. Some of this is discussed in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1285378. (In reply to David H. Gutteridge from comment #8) Since placement of the mouse pointer in a VirGL enabled Fedora 25 or Fedora 26 virtual guest works correctly when a Fedora 25 host is used, I tend to assume a regression in Fedora 26. I therefore do not see your point. (In reply to Joachim Frieben from comment #9) > (In reply to David H. I therefore do not see your point. Well, my reasons for referencing the other bug were: (1) It's being used as a catch-all for similar mouse pointer issues that have been reported to date against Fedora 23, 24, and 25. While what you're describing is presumably a new regression somewhere, the effect is like what I've seen in other setups, so it's perhaps related somehow. (2) It includes general discussion about underlying improvements that could be made, which may be relevant to your issue. spice-gtk-0.33-5.fc25 has been pushed to the Fedora 25 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. |
