Not sure if this is going to get fixed in EPEL7. It's very difficult to update thrift to newer versions without breaking everyone who uses it. Thrift is not stable enough between upstream versions. I'm not sure fixing this is worth disrupting other users.

A selective patch to backport the fix might be okay, rather than an update to a newer version of thrift... but I doubt such a patch would apply easily. It is likely that too much code has changed.
