I have similar issue. Gnome shell crashes when I enter an overview mode by pressing Super/Win button and throws me to Log in screen.

This was fixed upstream for 3.27 / 3.26.1, so it is fixed in Fedora 27, but the fix has not been applied to the 3.24 branch upstream or shipped for F26. I will try and backport it and send out an update.

Comment 20 Adam Williamson 2017-12-19 00:12:06 UTC
Actually - it looks like the patch has already been backported as a downstream patch by Florian Müllner. It is in gnome-shell-3.24.3-2.fc26 , https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2017-ebc4d197b2 . So I'm closing this as fixed.
