If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. I know this is closed but I am still having unresolved issues. Just to review. I have a Broadcom 4365 wifi device that allows up to 4 devices to be added but does not allow combinations. i would like to accomplish the following 1) Add a second AP (wap) to the current default wifi (wlo1) I tried doing this by adding wlo1:1 using ipconfig wlo1:1 up, The device was created but when launching hostapd it returns disabled device. Am I correct it thinking this is the way to make a NAT configuration that will share the host wifi device? 2) At some point I would like to add a device and implement both wap and a p2p devices. To do this it would be necessary to create virtual wifi devices "sta" for host wifi and an "ap" for the p2p. Each could have their own IP and Mac address, The former controlled by wpa_supplicant and the latter by hostapd. Again, do I have the correct strategy? Also, should all device configuration be in using "ip" rather than "ifconfig?" hostapd-2.6-7.el6 has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 6 testing repository.
