Description Tim Skirvin 2005-02-04 19:13:12 UTC
Description of problem:
We've got a Sun W2100z workstation that we'd like to install SATA
drives into. The BIOS is now detecting the drive, and the SATA
controller is being detected by Linux; however, the connected drive is
not being detected. What should we do?

Which update is this?

If you're not sure, then please give me the kernel version?

Comment 2 Tim Skirvin 2005-02-07 21:15:52 UTC
It was update 3, but I think it's been updated to update 4 by patching. Kernel
version 2.4.21-27.0.2

Comment 4 Jeff Garzik 2005-02-18 05:50:23 UTC
Please provide info about this machine, so that this bug can be
investigated.

'lspci -vvvxxx' output, sysreport, dmesg output, and any other
relevant hardware info. As it stands now, this bug is equivalent to
"it doesn't work" without further detail.
