I also verified this does not work with the RHEL 3.0 Update 4 rescue image. I believe it is the anaconda team that defines/creates the rescue CD image. Reassigning to them so that they will know that there are requests for multipath to be in future images (presumably true of more than just RHEL3). This bug is filed against RHEL 3, which is in maintenance phase. During the maintenance phase, only security errata and select mission critical bug fixes will be released for enterprise products. Since this bug does not meet that criteria, it is now being closed.
