Description mark 2000-07-28 05:33:31 UTC
Using 2.2.16-3 SMP on i686 I'm seeing relatively frequent lock-ups.
The machine becomes unpingable. I can't reliably cause the crash,
and nothing appears in /var/log/messages at the time of the crash.
Usually, this seems to happen when using X while the machine is
moderatley loaded.

Is there any way to help track this down?

What card/X server?

Comment 2 mark 2000-07-28 19:08:09 UTC
I am using a Matrox G400 card with the SVGA X server. The version for
all of the XFree86 RPMs is 3.3.6-20.

Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of
the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem
persists.

The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases,
and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in
the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/
