Fixing upstream: https://github.com/cockpit-project/cockpit/pull/7516

Comment 3 Yadan Pei 2017-10-27 08:48:12 UTC
Hi Peter, could you please help point out which version of cockpit packages the fix is included?

Comment 4 Yadan Pei 2017-10-27 08:49:58 UTC
Also this is something I need to confirm with you, does OpenShift QE should verify the Cockpit UI bugs? Seems we rarely check these bugs. Do you need us to help or any Cockpit QE could check?

Comment 5 Peter 2017-10-27 13:55:04 UTC
This was fixed in 149.

Now right of topology view shows detail after click one item

Comment 7 Xingxing Xia 2017-10-31 12:17:42 UTC
Checked in OCP v3.7.0-0.184.0 with cockpit (packages version 151) enabled. Now right side of topology view shows detail after click one item. See attachment.

However, as QE of OCP UI, we do not cover cockpit UI test, and the bug description is a little unclear for us. Alfredo and Peter, please double check the attachment if it is the right thing you talk about. __If not, freely correct me__

Peter. Could you help confirm this question? We OCP QE do not cover cockpit UI test. Are there Cockpit QE for cockpit bugs? Who are them?
Asking this because another problem is met and hope Cockpit QE can check it: though the items are displayed as icons in the Firefox in above comment 6, they're displayed as black circles in another Firefox, see below attachment

Items shown as black circles in another Firefox instead of icons

Comment 10 Peter 2017-10-31 13:49:22 UTC
What version of firefox shows the black icons? Are the icons also black on the details page? Or just topology?

Items shown as black circles in another Firefox instead of icons

Yeah, also black on the right of the topology page, see the updated screenshot. The Firefox version is latest 56.0.2.
On the machine whose Firefox shows icons, the Firefox version is 55.0.3. However, after I upgrade Firefox and it becomes 56.0, that machine's Firefox also same shows black circles now.

BTW, could you continue to "double check ... if it is the right thing you talk about" in comment 7 for that verification? Thx

Comment 12 Peter 2017-11-02 21:22:04 UTC
What about the icons on the details page?

Clicked all sub left menus to show pages (video)

Hmm, "details" page was understood as "the right of the topology page"
If it means the "Details" sub menu's page, icons or circles are not seen in it. See
the attached small video that clicks all left sub menus to show their pages

This has been fixed upstream, but hasn't made it into a release yet.
