Description Martin Sehnoutka 2017-08-29 08:21:37 UTC
There is a new GUI based on Qt framework since Wireshark version 2.0. Since the version 2.4, the legacy GTK+ GUI is disable by default. We should drop this GUI completely, as it is not supported any more.

Comment 1 Fedora End Of Life 2018-02-20 15:35:02 UTC
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 28 development cycle.
Changing version to '28'.

Comment 2 Adam Williamson 2018-05-14 19:08:41 UTC
When this change was made, nothing was set to obsolete wireshark-gtk. This means upgrades fail unless --allowerasing is used. This should be fixed: retired packages *must* be properly obsoleted.

Comment 3 Adam Williamson 2018-05-14 19:09:07 UTC
Note, also, the 'wireshark-qt' subpackage seems to have disappeared too, and similarly causes issues on upgrade as it is not obsoleted.

Comment 4 Michal Ruprich 2018-05-15 11:41:17 UTC
Thanks Adam, I am fixing this right away.

Comment 5 Michal Ruprich 2018-05-15 14:03:19 UTC
new version in rawhide wireshark-2.6.0-2.fc29 should fix this
