Upstream Release Monitoring

One or more of the specfile's Sources is not a valid URL so we cannot automatically build the new version for you. Please use a URL in your Source declarations if possible. I haven't been able to build this yet in Copr due to bug 1467299. But you can build it locally using https://github.com/fedora-haskell/ghc Latest upstream release: 8.2.2 Current version/release in rawhide: 8.0.2-60.fc28 URL: https://haskell.org/ghc/ Please consult the package updates policy before you issue an update to a stable branch: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Updates_Policy More information about the service that created this bug can be found at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upstream_release_monitoring Please keep in mind that with any upstream change, there may also be packaging changes that need to be made. Specifically, please remember that it is your responsibility to review the new version to ensure that the licensing is still correct and that no non-free or legally problematic items have been added upstream. I'd like to retire llvm3.9 from Fedora, but ghc 8.2.2 still requires it there. Is ghc just going to be modular now? Can we retire it from Rawhide? Hi Orion, my plan is to update main Rawhide ghc to 8.4.3 in the coming weeks/months. So llvm3.9 can likely be retired later in the F30 development cycle. We haven't even release 29 yet :) but I am happy to comaintain llvm3.9 in the meantime if that helps. Is there any urgency? If you could take it over, that would be great. I just don't have much time to spare. Okay sure, no problem: can you add me as maintainer then? Does it have any pending work? Added. It's currently FTBFS in F29+. ghc-8.4-20180930092756.9c690d0e has been pushed to the Fedora 28 Modular stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. Note that 8.4.4 was released. (In reply to Orion Poplawski from comment #24) > Added. It's currently FTBFS in F29+. Yeah, but I think that was just a Koji blip on s390x? ghc-8.4-20180930092756.6c81f848 has been pushed to the Fedora 29 Modular stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. ghc-8.4.4 is also now in Rawhide and F30 stable. |
